- Save money on gas by investigating pre-paid or gift cards available from gas companies (e.g. Speedway (Marathon), where you get 4% discount on $50 gift cards). Many stations have permanent as well as temporary promotions that can save you five, ten or even twenty cents per gallon.
- Save money on gas utilizing online sites that list prices for gas in your area. A short drive can save significant money on a fill up if you know where the best prices are. (Cheap Gas, Gas Buddy, Gas Price Watch).

- Save gas by driving a vehicle that gets good mileage. You should drive the vehicle, if you have more than one, that gets the best mileage whenever possible. When you purchase a new(er) vehicle, pick on that gets good mileage.

- Save gas by changing your oil on a regular schedule and use recommended grades of motor oil. Lower weights provide less resistance and therefore higher mileage.
- Save on gas by walking, riding your bike, taking the bus, or bumming a ride. Let your fingers do the walking by having it delivered, call ahead, wait until you have to go someplace else anyway.
